Festival of Lights

On Saturday night we went to our neighborhood Festival of Lights party. It was lots of fun with food, music, stations for the kids, carriage rides, a parade and picture taking with Santa. Well, we were all excited to see Santa. Brooke and Parker were laughing, jumping and playing while we were in line. When it came time to SIT on Santa's lap.. I put Parker down first then Scott put Brooke down. They were find as soon as I took one step back to take the picture.. they screamed! Instantly they started to whale...so loud. Scott and I couldn't stop laughing. We had never scened them react this way. The Santa said I could have told you that was going to happen and wanted to see the picture we took . I think the picture tells it perfect. It was a funny first or last encounter with Santa.. one we won't forget.

Happy Thanksgiving

After a full day of grocery shopping we prepared for our 1st hosted Thanksgiving. Brooke and Parker were a huge help driving the cart around so Aunt Allee and I could fill it up. We had went to Costco to buy a turkey and they were out! I was in a panic but Pubix saved the day with a few left. Hoping we had gotten all that we needed as Pubix was closed on Thanksgiving day. We prepared all the casseroles the night before. I felt under control .. easy really. Thanksgiving Day was nice 80 degrees and relaxing. We had 9 family members and 4 kids. Our apple stuffed turkey cooked in champagne was a hit! Everything was a good success and having it at our house was a nice treat. Here are a few pictures of the family .. we are so thankful for them!
